Ustadha Leila Laceb Hamidi

Ustadha Leila is originally from Algeria. Now she lives in Wimbledon, England, UK.

Ustadha Leila’s journey to mastering Tajweed is phenomenal, Alhamdulillah.

She started attending the Wimbledon Masjid where she learned the Science of ‘Tajweed’ 5 or 6 years ago from Ustadha Asmaa (with Ijazah). She further went on to excel herself in the science of ‘Tajweed’ by following the syllabus of the well-renowned Tajweed master ‘Sheikh Aymen Suwaid’

Ustadha Leila has been teaching tajweed for more than 3 years now Alhamdulillah.

She’s currently teaching in Brixton Hill Mosque, Wimbledon Mosque, Peckham Mosque on Thursday to Sisters.

She has expanded her teaching skills to cater to young children also. She currently teaches at, Madrassa Al Braem (England) teaching Arabic, Qur’an and Islamic Studies.

Ustadha Leila is currently in pursuit of developing other skills and is studying Fiqh, Arabic Grammar and at the same doing Hifz (memorising) of the Qur’an.

Amongst her accolades and achievements are:

• She studied law at Ben Aknoon University.
• She started working in an administrative environment
• She trained as a teaching assistant and worked in a mainstream school for two years.
